When I was a child, I dreamed about the best city in the world. I dreamed about New York city. New York exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education. It's my dream, because that's life. In turn life is a movement. New York is the only city in the world where you can get deliberately run down on the sidewalk by a pedestrian. It's a city, that never sleeps. So, when I grow up, I am going to New York city. There I will be happy. There I will live.

In the centre of the new capital of sovereign Kazakhstan built a unique artistic value and scale of the architectural ensemble. Its main component is Akorda – the residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The residence is a compositional center of the urban ensemble. As the key points of the main axis of the architectural complex Astana speakers: "Khan Shatyr", "Baiterek" – "Akorda "Palace of peace and accord" – "Kazakh Eli". The compositional axis of the architectural ensemble embodies the idea of preserving the continuity of traditions of the great steppe, promote the Eurasian culture of tolerance and creation of strong Kazakhstan as part of modern world civilization.
Akorda is one of the visible images of the new philosophy of development of the country. Symbolic and functional purpose of the residence is reflected in the design of facades and interiors, in their stylistic and color scheme. Traditional European architecture has been given new meanings. Kazakh and Oriental motifs in architectural decoration of the Palace is expressed by a theme of circles and ornamental decoration. A distinctive feature of this project – a unique collection of Kazakh fine arts works, contributes to the residence's artistic integrity. Metaphorically it reflects a steppe civilization in the mirror of European culture, a synthesis of arts the largest continent – Eurasia. Exhibited at the residence of the works of Kazakh artists make up the necessary balance of East and West, Kazakhstan is proud of positioning itself in the world as a state that unites the culture of great civilizations.Before Astana was a small town on the crossroads of trade routes. It was called Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, Akmola. By the decree of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the city was renamed to Astana, by giving him a new life in the capital.

Now the President's residence is located in Astana. This is the Palace AK-Orda in the beginning of a beautiful Water-green Boulevard. This is a truly majestic building. It Nursultan Nazarbayev, Astana is obliged to proclaim their prosperity.
