There is a big TV on the wall. — На стене есть большой телевизор. 4. There is a nice carpet on the floor. — На полу есть красивый ковер. 5. There are two armchairs in my room. — В моей комнате есть два кресла. Конструкцию there is / there are мы используем, когда нам надо сказать о местоположении какого-либо предмета. There is мы используем, если речь идет об одном предмете, а there are — о нескольких.
