I was very glad to receive your letter and thank you for it. In my letter I want to talk about my summer holidays.
This summer I spent much time with family and friends.
Summer was very hot, so I went to the river to bathe and sunbathe. Every night I went out with friends, we had fun.
During those 3 months I read many interesting books, found new friends, and just had a good time.
On the 1st of September I came to school and I met my classmates whom I missed a lot. I started the new school year with a good attitude and a desire to gain new knowledge.

Books are full of emotions. Sometimes they will make you cry with every turning page and sometimes they will just keep you smiling. It can fill you with anger when the antagonist of the story succeeds in his evil plan, but again it can give you immense pleasure to see your hero achieving his goal.
Books can make us happy, sad, jealous, loved and so on! Books help us grow emotion.
Another reason why reading is important is because it makes you empathic. Being empathic means being able to understand and share the feelings of others. Books connect you with their characters and plots. You yourself become a part of the book and feel what the characters are supposed to feel. You understand their pain and gladness!
Personally, I prefer read books. Through reading, I begin understand the world more.
