Lev Ivanovich Yashin (1929 — 1990) is a footballer (goalkeeper), Olympic champion 1956, European champion, USSR.

Born Lev Yashin 22 October 1929 in Moscow into the family of workers. During the great Patriotic war in the biography Yashin moved to the Volga region. Despite the fact that in 1943 Leo began to work at the factory, much time was dedicated to playing football. When in the following year he moved to Moscow, in parallel with the work on the plant played a goalkeeper.

In 1949, for the first time in his biography of Lev Yashin began to play for Dynamo Moscow (a first for the youth team). In 1953 he was the goalkeeper in the first team. From next year began to play for the national team of the USSR. Yashin five times with Dynamo won the USSR championship three times – in the USSR Cup.
