5. influence — влиять I've decided to be a journalist. I think it is an interesting and useful profession.
   I like to watch TV, listen to the radio, read newspapers and magazines. I like everything connected with mass media (1).
   Mass media play an important role in our life. They inform, teach and entertain people. They also influence the way people see the world and make them change their Views. News is not what really happens — it is what you see or read about in mass media.
   I have a hobby. My friends and I publish (2) a small newspaper once a month at our school. We write articles about school events, life of young people, jokes, draw pictures and caricatures.
   I like the profession of a journalist. He meets many people. He tries to understand what is going on in the world, country and city and tries to explain it to the other people.
   I think that the work of a journalist is very much like that of a historian (3). A historian studies and tries to explain the events (4) of the past and the journalists do the same about the present. But for me the profession of a journalist is much more interesting than the profession of a historian because journalists deal with real events that happen now.    That is why I want to be a journalist.

many opportunities for career growth.
5. Medicine need talented scientists, which could lead
in gene therapy research fields, viral infections, etc..
6. Humanity is going through a period of climate change, and
the task of scientists - to predict the consequences of these processes.
7. Ecology studies the environment and the way in which
plants, animals and humans exist together and influence each other.
