Most people think of a  man with a beard, a patch over one eye and a parrot on his shoulder. B5  He often has a wooden leg, too, doesn’t he? B6  Most people also think that pirates haven't existed for hundreds of years. B7  In fact, there are still many pirates on the seas, although they don't wear the same kinds of clothes that they used to.   B8  Using speedboats rather than sailing ships, and often carrying guns, pirates today still attack ships.   B9  They frighten the people on the ship and steal their bags and money. often also taking the contents of the ship to sell.   B10  What pirates do is called ‘piracy’ and it is, of course, a serious crime. B11  Police officers have managed to catch a lot of pirates in recent years but there are  still many more out there

Collecting stamps is my hobby.Almost everyone collects something in his life:coins, stamps, postcards,buttons,books,records,toys,watches.Learning things is the most exciting aspect of my hobby too. Each stamp has its own story to tell. I can see pictures of distant countries and their people. I learn their history, culture and traditions. The greatest part of my collection is devoted to famous artists and their masterpieces. This part of my collection looks like art gallery.I must say that I'm a great reader, but I never had enough time to enjoy it. I always read a book or a magazine late in the evening.
