POPULAR SPORT IN RUSSIA
Russian people love all kinds of sport, but the most popular sport in Russia is football.
This game is played everywhere. If there is a stadium or a football pitch nearby, you can always see men or boys playing there. Russians love to watch their favourite teams playing and football matches always attract thousands of fans. The Russian national team gets to compete in the World Cup and the European Championship, so these are the most watched competitions in Russia. There are also competitions considered less important, such as the Russian Cup. Some of the most successful clubs include Spartak Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow, CSKA Moscow, Zenit St. Petersburg and Dynamo Moscow. The top teams are usually sponsored by different companies, so their players can earn big money. Among other reasons for the popularity of football in Russia are the following: it is cheap to play, it can be played on any flat ground, indoors or outdoors, with just a few people or many, and it is so simple that any child can play it without training.
I like playing football too. For me and friends it is the best pastime ever.
I usually spend free time on reading my favorite book, painting and chatting with my friends. My favorite book is ... I am not a professional in it, but I can named it - hobby. I usually don’t have enough time for communicating with people, but I am so glad when I meet my friends. I like spend my free time on useful things.
