JOB INTERVIEW

0 I think the interview went well. He wanted to know whether a

00 number of things about me and what I had been doing

1 in the last few years. First, he asked me if I have had had

2 a nice trip down from Manchester and how long it

3 had been taken me to get there. He also wanted to know

4 whether or it had been snowing in Manchester. The chitchat

5 over, he asked from me how old I was and where I was born

6 although I had sent him my CV by post. He then asked

7 how long I had I lived in Manchester and I told him. His

8 next question was the whether I was married and whether I had

9 a family or not. I explained him that I was separated and that

10 I bad one daughter. He me asked how long did I had worked as an

11 editor and how much 1 was had being paid in my present job. He

12 asked me what was I liked most about my job and who had told me

13 about their company. The main questions he asked me were about the

14 qualities of a good manager. Finally, he asked how much have

15 I expected to be paid. 1 think the interview went very well.

Russia ... What do you imagine when you hear this word? Someone imagines a great country that occupies the largest part of the continent, the others think about the largest exporter of oil, another people imagine large industrial cities with factories. I imagine a small village, which is located in the heart of the Siberia.

If you are just passing this village in transport, you can notice nothing extraordinary, but if you take a closer look, you’ll never want to go away. The nature is wonderful there. Clean air, which every citizen dreams about, and the mountains and the forest in the background of the blue almost transparent sky, seem to be fabulous. There are a lotof lakes, where you can fish, go boating or just swim. There are a lot of mushrooms and berries in the forests. Walking along the paths, you can collect a bunch of flowers or just watch and take picture of other ones, which are in The Red Book. Children like to get together and go to the nearest creek to swim in a hot day, and there you can dissolve a fire and bake the potatoes with bacon. And in winter, they build a snow fortress, or take a big horse sleigh; the whole crowds drag them up to the hill and then laugh and go down through the village...

I love the village. Everyone knows you, your parents and grandparents. It seems the village to be a big family... I like "Molodetskie games" most of all. They are always held on Maslenitsa festival. Everybody in the village come to look at them. The teams arrive and the competitions in different kinds of sport take place. They pull rope, then lift weights, sing and dance ... It’s very funny! ... And then people burn a strawman and eat pancakes.

It is often said that a village inhabitant is different from a city man, and I do not deny it. People grown in village are much kinder and they like to communicate with other people. Just because they used to. I think it`s very good, because people are stronger together!
