За можливість помістити своє лого на Лондонське Око боролось чимало компанії. Навіть британські авіалінії свого часу володіли часткою проекту. Проте уже в 2014 році Coca-Cola підписала договір про спонсорування колеса огляду. З цієї нагоди конструкція засвітилась червоними вогнями. Важко не помітити таку масштабну рекламу, правда ж?

Лондонське Око, висота якого сягає 120 метрів, має вигляд гігантського велосипедного колеса. На ньому розміщені 32 овальні капсули, кожна з яких поміщає до 25 людей. Цікаво, що 32 – не випадкове число, воно позначає кількість боро Лондона. Капсули повністю скляні, це дозволяє відвідувачам бачити повну панораму міста.

Споруда вийшла міжнародною, адже металеві конструкції виготовлялись у Нідерландах, кабелі – у Італії, капсули – у Франції, а стержень системи розроблявся на фабриці “Skoda” у Чехії. Все це поокремо транспортувалось до Лондона.
