Percy Ross is the most famous millionaire in the USA because he gave away all his money to other people. Percy was born in 1916 in Michigan. His parents had come to the USA from Latvia and Russia. His family were really poor. Percy showed a talent for business and made a fortune in the fur trade. But soon he made fortune again - this time by manufacturing plastic bags. Then he sold this company for millions of dollars. He started giving away his money in 1977: he gave 50,000$ to 50 Vietnamese refugees. A lot of people wrote and asked for money. He recieved about 40,000 requests every month. Also he started a newspaper column and later a radio show. Anyway, Ross finally succeeded in giving away his money. He said that if he would had twice as much he still would given it all away. He died in 2001 at the age of 85.

I would like to say a few words about spring.  A lot of people think that  it is the most pleasant season of  the year. it is very nice in spring. The sky is often blue, the sun shines brightly in the sky. Sometimes it rains and even snows, but snow doesn't remain long, it melts under the warm sun. Everything around awakens from  winter sleep. The days get longer and the nights shorter. All the plants begin to bloom.  Spring brings bright sunshine, green grass and flowers. Many birds come back from the South to build their nests and  hatch their eggs.

я хотела бы сказать несколько слов о весне. многие люди считают, что эта самое приятное время года. весной очень приятно. Небо обычно голубое и солнце ярко светит. Иногда идет дождь и даже снег, но снег не остается надолго, он тает под теплым солнцемю. Все вокруг просыпается после зимнего сна. Дни становятся длинее, а ночи короче. Все растения начинают цвести. Весна приносит солнечный свет, зеленую траву и цветы. Много птиц возвращается домой с юга, чтобы свить гнезда и высидеть яйца.
