Some people say that TV plays a very important role in our life, others do not agree with it. And what do you think of the problem?

 

 

It is said that TV is one of the greatest scientific inventions. But nowadays people are speaking much about advantages and disadvantages of television. Some people say that TV is good. But others consider it to be bad. Who is right?

As for me I support a former point of view. And now I will try to prove it.

Firstly, TV informs us about various things. We learn about current events all over the world. Secondly, we can`t but mention the educational role of TV. With its help, for example, we can learn various foreign languages or other subjects. Thirdly, TV entertains us, and it is so pleasant to relax in front of the TV-set  after a hard working day.

But there is another point of view on the problem. Some people are quite sure that television is bad for our site.
Besides they underline that there is too much violence and too many crimes on TV. And it makes people nervous.

I do not agree with these people. You should not watch TV all day long and sit too near the TV-set. Then television will be harmless. Moreover, if you do not want to watch criminal news, you may choose another channel. Although I think that while watching criminal news you may get some experience for your protection.

In conclusion, I would like to stress that I am for TV. It helps us in various ways. Of course, I can`t but agree that the problem is very serious. It needs further discussion. Tastes differ. And everyone has a right to have his own opinion.

I was very glad to hear from you again. Sorry, I haven't written for ages because of my school activities.

In your letter you ask me to tell you about my girlfriend. First of all I want to tell you that my best friend's name is Irina and she is 15. She is the best person I have ever met. A few  words about her appearance. Her height is nearly 149 cm. But she'd like to be a bit taller. Well, she is not slim but she is not fat either.  Irina has a round face as everyone has, a bit long nose and big cheerful grey eyes. Her skin is a bit pale but she likes this fact, she doesn't like ruddy faces. She has no freckles as my friend Nina has. Her forehead is open. I think Irina has a charming smile.  Her hair isn't very short but it's not long either. It is straight and black. Iuina has rich hair. I think that she looks like her father. Irina is very active and creative, cheerful and curious. But the best thing is that she is reliable. We spend much time together. We go for a walk, we play tennis, watch TV, do things which we like. I love my friend.
Tell me a few words about you and your new school and friend. Have you joined any sport club? Do you like your new teachers? That's for me today. I have to go.
