There is a legend that Kyiv was founded by three brothers: Kyi, Shchek and Khoriv and sister Lybidya as the center of the Polyana tribe. Named after his older brother.
Today Kyiv is not only a big Ukrainian city, but also a big transport hub. There are railways and highways; river port; international airport in Boryspil. The city is also a major center of engineering, metallurgy, light and printing industries. Since 1960, Kyiv has a metro consisting of 3 lines with a total length of 56.5 km.
Our capital is a large city with many streets, squares, houses, squares, museums, theaters, schools, universities, hospitals and shops. Life in Kyiv is fast and unpredictable, but if you want silence, you can walk through the park, the square, admire the famous Kyiv chestnuts, look at the monuments to Taras Shevchenko, Bohdan Khmelnytsky or the Golden Gate.
Kyiv is one of the largest centers of science and education in Ukraine. In Kiev, a huge number of schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, about 70 universities.
There are many interesting historical facts about Kyiv. It is a well-known fact that since the 9th century Kyiv has been an important center of intellectual development in Eastern Europe. And since the end of the XVII century the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy has trained many famous scientists.
We are proud of this beautiful and majestic city. And we confidently believe that Kyiv is an unusual city. The most famous places in Kyiv are the central Khreschatyk Street and Andriyivskyi Descent. There are always a lot of tourists who take pictures, buy souvenirs or just communicate with the residents of the capital. And they have something to tell about their hometown!
1)What professions do find interesting?
I find interesting working as a teacher, because I think that giving knowledge to the children is one of the most useful things you can do in our world. Also it is very entertaining job: you work with very different guys and it's always challenging!
2)What school subjects meet your own interest?
I'm really interested in history and geography. These are very important and interesting subject about our world and how it had been before I was born. I think that it is very important to know everything about our planet and to know as much as possible about our past.
3)What hobbies do your friends have?
My friends like watching and playing football. It's very important for them because it's very thrilling sport and playing it is very exciting. You need to be physically prepared which is good for your health. Also you need to use your brain to win in football, it's like chess in combination with athletics.
4)What hobbies appeal to you most of all?
I appeal to travelling. As for me, the world is an open book and those who do not travel are only on the first page. The more you travel, the more exciting you find on our planet. And it's one of the reasons why I like geography.
5)What is your own favourite hobby?
My favourite hobby is playing computer games, because every computer game is a piece of art and you only need to enjoy it as much as you can. You live with the main character for long and it's really amazing feeling to go forward more and more.
6)What do you enjoy the hobby of your choice?
I also enjoy reading books. You get acquainted with the characters, you feel what they feel after some time of reading a novel or a fairytale. And it is truly perfect piece of art if you can feel the atmosphere of a moment throught only words on the paper.
