Joanne Usher from Mississippi, is a big favourite with her two grandsons because she lives on a jet plane. Her home is a Boeing 727, so a visit to grandma is very special.
Joanne’s front door is at the top of the plane’s steps, but you don’t need a ticket or a passport when you visit. There are three bedrooms, a living room, a modern kitchen and a luxury bathroom. The bathroom is in the cockpit, with the bath under the windows. Next to this is Joanne’s bedroom in the first class section of the plane. Then there’s the living room with four emergency exit doors, which she opens on summer evenings. On the wall there’s a photo of the plane flying for American Airlines from Florida to the Caribbean
“it’s the best home in the world,” says Joanne. “It has all things you want in a home:. It’s always very warm, even in winter, and it’s very big, 42 metres long. My grandchildren love running up and down. And my friends love parties here, but there aren’t any flight attendants to serve them their drinks!”
The plane cost Joanne just $4,000. “Next time,” she says, “I want a Boeing 747, because they have an upstairs and a downstairs, and I want to go upstairs to bed!”

                            My School

We all spend quite a big part of our lives at school. It is a place where we get education and where we are taught important life lessons, so it is no exaggeration to say that my school has become my second home.

My school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts till 3 in the afternoon. We have classes every day from Monday to Saturday. We learn Russian, Literature, Maths, English, History, Biology, Handicraft and other subjects.

Our school is quite big. There are a lot of good-sized classrooms, a spacious assembly hall, a canteen, a gym and a library in the school. Every classroom has a chalkboard/whiteboard, a few bookcases and a lot of desks and chairs. On the walls there are pictures and maps.

Our school is a great place for children because of its dedicated teachers. Most of them are kind to pupils. Our teachers are always ready to answer our questions and listen to our problems.

I really like my school and I am happy to study in it.

Мы все проводим довольно большую часть нашей жизни в школе. Это место, где мы получаем образование и где нам преподают важные уроки жизни, поэтому не будет преувеличением сказать, что школа стала моим вторым домом.

Мой учебный день начинается в 8:30 утра и длится до 3 часов дня. У нас занятия каждый день с понедельника по субботу. Мы изучаем русский язык, литературу, математику, английский, историю, биологию, технологию и другие предметы.

Наша школа довольно большая. Здесь есть много больших кабинетов, просторный актовый зал, столовая, спортзал и библиотека. В каждом классе есть меловая/белая доска, несколько книжных шкафов и множество парт и стульев. На стенах висят картины и карты.

Наша школа — замечательное место для детей, потому что у нас преданные своему делу учителя. Большинство из них добры к ученикам. Учителя всегда готовы ответить на наши вопросы и выслушать наши проблемы.

Мне очень нравится моя школа, и я счастлив(а) учиться в ней.

This is a small village in Russia. Look! There is a farmer with his three sons, Andrei, Sergei and young ivanushka. The farmer is an old man and he works very hard. He wants to give his sons a good life and he wants them to be happy. They are not very rich and they haven't got a big farm.Andrei and Sergei are very clever, but ivanushka is not as clever as his brothers. The two older sons work in the field and they like wearing nice clothes. But ivanushka is not like his two brothers. He likes to go into the forest and collect mushrooms. When he is at home he spends most of his time sitting on the kitchen stove. Sometimes Andrei and Sergei call him 'Silli Boy'. But ivanushka doesn't mind and he never gets angry. He is a kind young man with a big heart.
