The problem I see is that people, not fearing for his life, engaged in dangerous and extreme sports. So is it worth doing or not? 
I think it should. First, it helps a person get rid of their fears. For example, if a person is afraid of heights, then climbing will help him cope with his fear. Secondly it's a great way to achieve confidence in yourself when the person reaches the top. He understands that it is very steep and not everyone can do it. 
There is another point of view that to engage in extreme sports it is impossible. The main argument of this position is that it is dangerous to life. Indeed, it has already happened many cases when people jumped off a cliff or rapid descent on a snowy slope got a lot of injuries. 
But if you think about it, a true professional is much less likely to make a mistake, but if you are afraid for your life then start on training grounds or even shouldn't do it if you're afraid. 
I'm right because many people go to such risk for myself and succeed, and those who criticizes it is either not tried, or to be afraid.
