London is the largest city in Great Britain. It Is nearly 2 thousand years ago. That is why there are a lot of places  of interest. the most famous of them  are the Houses Of Parlament , Saint Pals Cathedral and the Tower Of London.
London stands on the river Thames  There are sevelar bridges across the Thames and the most famous of them 
London has its own undergrounsd . The 1-st underground line was  in 1863. It is often called  the Tube. 
People Who live in in London are Londeners . They love their city which one of the most interesting cities in the world.

1 Alexander Pushkin was a great Russian poet. Both children and grown-ups know a lot of his lovely poems.

2. Ilya Repin is famous for his paintings. Не was a  well-known Russian artist.

3. Sergei Rachmaninoff was a brilliant Russian composer. Most of his compositions refer to classical music.

4. J. K. Rowling is a very famous British writer. She became famous after having written  a wonderful and fantastic series of books called "Harry Potter."

5. Agnia  Barto was a wonderful poetess . She wrote unforgettable children's rhimes and poems. A lot of children know her poems by heart.

 6. Ivan Pavlov was a  Russian scientist. He studied a lot of dogs' reflexes.
