Present Simple – аты айтып тұрғандай іс – әрекеттің дәл қазір болып жатқандығын білдіреді. Осы шақтың көмекші етістігі do/ does [du/ dz].
Жіктеу есімдіктеріне көмекші етістіктің қолданылуы:

Do not = don’t Does not = doesn’t

Болымды сөйлем: зат есім + етістік + - s /- es

Болымсыз сөйлем: зат есім + do/ does + not + етістік

Сұраулы сөйлем: Do/ Does + зат есім + етістік?

Егер сөйлем He/She/It - тан басталса, тек қана болымды сөйлемде негізгі етістікке - s немесе - es жұрнағы жалғанады. Ал қалған болымсыз және сұраулы сөйлемде есімдіктен кейін «does» көмекші етістігін қолданған кезде, негізгі етістіктің соңындағы - s немесе - es жұрнағы жалғанбайды.
