When we start learning a foreign language we use bilingual dictionaries. They translate words or phrases from one language to another. For example, our schoolchildren use small and big Russian-English and English-Rissian dictionaries. More advanced students prefer to use monolingual dictionaries for learners. These dictionaries include information on word meaning, grammar, usage, common errors and collocations.
