the film is set in the distant future, when the earth makes an attack a race of aliens. destroying everything in its path and taking millions of lives, they were willing to spend the last fight that would destroy humanity forever. realizing that this is the last chance to survive, people have united all their forces and left them to fight the invaders. in this battle participated and col. bill cage, who has never been on the battlefield. he dies in a few minutes the fight, but he manages to take home a life and one of the strangers. after that there is the impossible - he wakes up alive and says that he was once again in the same day in which it is expected a hell of a battle. each time, after the death of another, he is forced to engage in mortal combat, becoming more intelligent and dangerous opponent
