I had celebrated my last birthday in a very unusual way. I wanted to invite my friends for the party and birthday cake, and we were already planning all the details with my mother, but over sudden my small sister got seriously sick, and emergency took her with my mother to the hospital two days before my birthday. I felt myself lost, extremely worried about my sister, and helpless. All of my friends were already invited to the party and I didn’t know what to do. I called my best friend to talk about my problems and cancel the party, but he told me: “Let’s take the cake and go to the hospital!” Why didn’t I think about it myself? I called all my friends and asked them what did they think about the party in the hospital – and they all agreed to this plan. My father arranged the cake in the hospital, and some balloons for decoration, and also he invited a funny clown for all the children. The party was short, but very nice and filled with joy and happiness. We were playing games, laughing and eating my birthday cake, and I was very happy to be with my family, friends, and all the children from the hospital.
My Future Holidays
I love summer because it is the longest holidays and the weather is great for walking a lot, swimming, sunbathing and playing my favourite games!
In June I want to go to the summer camp. I will go there with my friends. We will live in dormitories and have meals in a large dining hall. I like doing all kinds of activities in the camp: singing, dancing, playing games and sports. I hope we will have competitions there.
In July I will go to my granny's dacha. She has a small wooden house with a vegetable garden not far from the river. I will help my granny to water plants and gather ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and berries. My dad and I will go fishing in the mornings and on hot days we will go swimming in the river.
Мои будущие каникулы
Я люблю лето, потому что это самые длинные каникулы, и погода отличная, чтобы много гулять, плавать, загорать и играть в мои любимые игры!
В июне я хочу поехать в летний лагерь. Я пойду туда с друзьями. Мы будем жить в спальных корпусах и питаться в большой столовой. Мне нравится заниматься в лагере всем: петь, танцевать, играть в игры и заниматься спортом. Я надеюсь, что у нас будут соревнования там.
В июле я поеду на дачу к бабушке. У нее небольшой деревянный домик с огородом недалеко от реки. Я буду бабушке поливать растения и собирать спелые помидоры, огурцы, морковь и ягоды. Мы с папой будем ловить рыбу по утрам, а в жаркие дни мы будем купаться в реке.
