                                           Mass Media in the Future

We live in the Digital Age when new technology is changing everything around us. The future of mass media is changing too.

Mass media have to change because if they don't, they will be forgotten. Nowadays people seem to be moving away from desktop computers and toward mobile devices. The Internet has already become the most popular source of information and social media are gaining more popularity with each day. Fewer people read newspapers printed on paper, and in the future there will be only online newspapers. All paper books will probably be replaced with electronic books. Messaging applications are already threatening email. We are starting to use smart devices that connect everything around us, and in ten years time such devices will be ordinary things. I do not think television will disappear as it has already become digital and offers new and interesting services.

All this leads to the conclusion that in the future all mass media will be easily accessible anytime and anywhere via mobile devices, the Internet and Internet-based devices.
