A blue whale is the largest animal that ever lived on Earth. It is also the
loudest animal on Earth.
Blue whales grow to be about 80 feet (25 m) long on average, weighing
about 120 tons (109 tones). The largest specimen found was a female 94 feet (29 m) long weighing more than 174 tons (158 tones). The females are larger than the
males, as with all baleen whales. The largest of the blue whales (150 tons) has a
heart that weighs about 1,000 pounds (450 kg) and has 14,000 pounds (6,400 kg)
of blood circulating in its body. The heart is about the size of a Volkswagen car. A
human could crawl through the aorta (a major blood vessel).

Blue whales are the loudest animals on Earth! Their call reaches levels up
to 188 decibels. This low-frequency whistle can be heard for hundreds of miles.
The blue whale call is louder than a jet, which reaches only 140 decibels! Human
shouting is 70 decibels; sounds over 120 decibels are painful to human ears.

The blue whale's skin is usually blue-grey with white-grey spots. The
underbelly has brown, yellow, or grey specks. During the winter in cold waters,
diatoms stick to the underbelly, giving it a yellow to silver- or sulfur-colored
sheen; they are sometimes called 'sulfur bottom’. They have a very small, falcate
(sickle-shaped) dorsal fin that is located near the flukes (tail). Blue whales have
long, thin flippers 8 feet long (2.4 m) and flukes that are 25 feet (7.6 m) wide.

Christmas is approaching, so I’ve decided to write a letter to you.

As for me, I’ve been a good girl all this year.

I helped my mum a lot indoing household chores.

At school I was also a diligent student.

I nevermissed the classes without a valid reason.

That’s why I think that I deserve a present for Christmas.

I know that you have to visit millions of children around the world and it’s difficult to carry all presents at once. But, if you ever pass by our town, please visit my house and bring me one special present.

I would like to receive a puppy as a present, but only if it’s not too heavy for you to carry that many presents.

Московский зоопарк является одним из крупнейших и старейших зоопарков в России. Он появился в Москве в 1864 году и в нём тогда было 286 животных. Сегодня в зоопарке более 6000 различных животных: слоны и жирафы, белые медведи и бурые медведи, белки и лисы, олени и волки, львы и тигры. Первые здания зоопарка сначала были деревянными. Сейчас животные живут в каменных зданиях, когда холодно на улице. Московский зоопарк расположен в центре города. Когда вы попадаете туда, вы попадаете в мир животных. Существуют  две большие территории в зоопарке с высоким мостом между ними. В прудах зоопарка  можно увидеть красивых водоплавающих птиц. Работники зоопарка, ухаживающие за животными, кормят их, следят за их здоровьем, чистят их клетки. Они знают много о птицах и животных, и часто отвечают на вопросы посетителей. Московский зоопарк открыт во все времена года.(круглый год)  Дети и их родители любят приходить туда. В настоящее время планируется переместить Московский зоопарк на новую более обширную территорию.
Moscow Zoo is one of the largest and oldest zoos in Russia. It appeared in Moscow in 1864 and had 286 animals then. There are more than 6,000 different animals in its rich collection now: elephants and giraffes, polar bears and brown bears l, squirrels and foxes, deer and wolves, lions and tigers. At first the zoo's buildings were wooden. Now animals live in stone buildings when it is cold outdoors. Moscow Zoo is situated in the centre of the city. When you get there, you are in the animal world. There are two large territories in the zoo with a high bridge between them. In the zoo ponds you can see beautiful water birds. The zoo keepers, workers who look after the animals, feed them, keep them healthy, clean their cages. They know a lot about birds and animals and often answer the visitors' questions. Moscow Zoo is open in all seasons. Children and their parents enjoy going there. Now there are plans to move Moscow Zoo to a new larger territory.
