Means of transportation dialogue
Bob: Hello, I'm sorry, but I am late. Can you help me?
Mark: Sure, no problem! How may I help you?
Bob: When is the next train to Ansonia?
Mark: I am not sure, but I think the next one leaves tomorrow at 8 pm.
Bob: What?! I can't wait that long! What time is the next bus?
Mark: It should go by in about two hours. It leaves the bus station at about 5.30 pm.
Bob: Well, I don't know. Isn't there any other option?
Mark: You could take a taxi...
Bob: What's faster, the bus or the taxi?
Mark: The taxi, of course! All you have to do is to call and ask for a taxi and it will come
away
Bob: You are right, but which is the cheapest one?
Mark: The cheapest means of transportation is the subway.
Bob: When have you ever seen a subway here in Connecticut?
Mark: You're right. But anyway why don't you just go walking? It's only like 25 minutes
from here.​

Dear Ann,

I was very glad to hear from you again. I haven't written for ages because of my school activities.
I got your invitation to the birthday party. That would be great! But unfortunately, I cannot come to  your place and have a fun with you and your friends. My older sister is going to come here with her husband and children. So I have to spend time with her kids (my cousins) and help my mother around the house. It is always so awful  when the house is full of guests even if they are your relatives.
I wish you have a good holiday, relax and have fun.
That's for me today. I have to go to the swimming pool.

Я была очень рада получить от тебя весточку. Я не писала целую вечность из-за занятости в школе.
Я получила твое приглашение на вечеринку? Посвященную твоему дню рождению. Это было бы здорово! Но, к сожалению, я не смогу приехать у тебе и повеселиться с тобой и твоими друзьями. Моя старшая сестра собирается приехать к нам со своим мужем и детьми. Так что мне придется проводить время с малышами и маме по дому. Это всегда так ужасно, когда в доме полно гостей, даже если они твои родственники.
Я желаю тебе хорошо провести праздник, отдохнуть и повеселиться.
