Capybaras lead a gregarious life generally on 20 individuals. Sometimes in search of food and water they form groups up to 100 individuals. Each family group is headed by a male the leader. All other inhabitants of herd are females with children. Females together nurse all children of group in turn, feeding kids. Unlike all other rodents, capybaras after the birth can stand on the feet and in several days is a grass. At the age of several weeks little capybaras are already able to swim.
This herbivore is also generally grazed on the area where lives, vypasy a grass, water vegetation, eating fruits, tubers, leaves and bark of plants. Generally, capybaras eat everything that grows at them under legs. Even their names are translated from classic Indian language as "mister of herbs".
