The Kamchatka brown bear can weigh 400 kg and be 2.50 m tall so this animal is really big. It is very strong because it has big teeth and sharp claws. These animals are quite peaceful. They usually live in thick forests and eat berries, nuts and roots.
During the summer, bears travel hundreds of kilometers for catching the salmon to eat. Millions of salmon swim up Kamchatka's rivers from the sea, therefore bears are ready to fish. They have thick fur which keeps them warm in the ice-cold water.
In the end of summer bears come to the forest and make a warm den for the winter season.
