Пересказать коротки на английском Unfortunately for us, computers can't understand spoken English or any other natural language. The only language they can understand directly is machine code, which consists of 1s and 0s (binary code).
Machine code is too difficult to write. For this reason, we use symbolic languages to communicate instructions to the computer. For example, assembly languages use abbreviations such as ADD, SUB, MPY to represent instructions. The program is then translated into machine code by a piece of software called anassembler. Machine code and assembly languages are calledlow-level languages because they are closer to the hardware. They are quite complex and restricted to particular machines. To make the programs easier to write, and to overcome the problem of intercommunication between different types of computer, software developers designedhigh-level languages, which are closer to the English language. Here are some examples:
FORTRAN was developed by IBM in 1954 and is still used for scientific and engineering applications.
COBOL (CommonBusinessOriented Language) was developed in 1959 and is mainly used for business applications.
BASIC was developed in the 1960s and was widely used in microcomputer programming because it was easy to earn.Visual BASIC is a modern version of the old BASIC language, used to build graphical elements such as buttons and windows in Windows programs.
PASCAL was created in 1971. It is used in universities to teach the fundamentals of programming.
Cwas developed in the 1980s at AT&T. It is used to write system software, graphics and commercial applications.C++is a version of C which incorporates object-oriented programming the programmer concentrates on particular things (a piece of text, a graphic or a table, etc.) and gives each object functions which can be altered without changing the entire
program. For example, to add a new graphics format, the programmer needs to rework just the graphics object. This makes programs easier to modify.
Java was designed by Sun in 1995 to run on the Web. Java applets provide animation and interactive features a web pages.
Programs written in high-level languages must be translated into machine code by a compiler or aninterpreter. A compiler translates the source code intoobject code - that is, it converts the entire program into machine code in one go. On the other hand, an interpreter translates the source code line by line as the program is running.

It is important not to confuse programming languages withmarkup languages, used to create web documents. Markup languages use instructions, known asmarkup tags, to format and link text files. Some examples include:
HTML, which allows us to describe how information will be displayed on web pages.
XML, which stands . While HTML uses pre-defined tags, XML enables us to define our own tags; it is not limited by a fixed set of tags.
VoiceXML, which makes Web content accessible via voice and phone. VoiceXML is used to create voice applications that run on the phone, whereas HTML is used to create visual applications (for example, web pages).

< homework> Write a paragraph describing the C language

In this XML example we have created two new tags: and .

duties and rights of child
  25 years ago international Convention on the Rights of the Child was created.
 25th anniversary of the Convention means that it is high time to acknowledge that this document was created for a reason. It does not mean that the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights could be abandoned, it only means that there is a need for special attention to the rights of children, the people whose rights are most often and willingly violated by those who are stronger (adults). by 2001 the Convention had been officially ratified by 191 nations.
Rights covered in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child:

family environment rights to live with parents;

rights to be reunited if separated from parents;
rights to be provided with alternative care if necessary basic health and welfare rights of disabled children;
 rights to health and healthcare;
 rights to social security,
rights to childcare;
and rights to an adequate standard of living education and cultural activities
 rights to education;
 rights to play;
rights to leisure and participation in cultural life and the arts civic rights and freedom rights to a name and nationality;
rights to access to information; rights to freedom of expression, of thought, and of association;
right not to be subjected to torture special protections rights of refugees,
 rights of children caught in conflict, rights of children in juvenile justice system;
rights of children deprived of their liberty or suffering economic, sexual, or other exploitation

  Defense of children’s rights requires no reciprocal obligation on the part of children, except for one: children themselves should also respect the rights of other children. The child is entitled to protection from violence and abuse, harassment and torture by anybody, including other children.

And the child’s rights are rights, regardless of whether a child has good marks at school or not, whether he or she cleans dishes at home or not, observes school regulations regarding clothes and shoes or not, etc. Children should be given proper ideas and attitudes concerning studies, work, family life, behavior at school, but the rights of a child cannot be put in some strict relationship to their duties.
 All children, whether they are polite and obedient or naughty, have rights as any other human beings.

Last week i went to an exhibition of paintings at the Tate Gallery in London. i'm not really a great art lover but i'd read good reviews of an exhibition and i was keen to see it. when i arrived , there were already people waiting outside for doors to open. i joined a queue and in the end doors opened and we went inside to see a show.
now, i must be honest and admit that many of paintings disappointed me.
Although i spend time looking carefully at each on, i had a difficulty in understanding what an artist was getting at. finally, as i was looking at one of paintings and trying to decide if it was a right way up or not, a old gentleman came up behind me and started to explain a whole thing to me. he kindly answered all of my questions and we talked for over an hour. then he said he had an appointment and had to go, so we shook hands and said goodbye. i went round the gallery once more and now i found that all paintings seemed really beautiful.
it was only as i was leaving the gallery that i found out who an old men was self-portrait was on posters advertising an exhibition!
