Task 1. Read the texts carefully. THE PUNKS
The ideology of punks is quite simple: “Say “NO” to everything”. They are politically indifferent. They only want to express their individuality in a shocking way. They always wear dirty clothes and never wash themselves. They use vulgar language. Punk-Rock music is very loud and aggressive. But what makes punks be so aggressive? They are dissatisfied with their place in society. They behave aggressively to show that they don’t want to be treated only as weak segments of the society. Nowadays punks tend to disappear. If that weren’t so, punks would be a great problem to the society.

THE FREESTYLERS
Freestyle nowadays is the most numerous subculture in the world. Many boys and girls are freestylers: BMX-bikers, skaters, rollers- anybody attending extreme sports. They do everything that is dangerous for their life. Freestylers always wear wide breeches, caps or headscarves, sport boots. There are a lot of trends in music of freestylers: Drumm’n’Bass, Hip-Hop, Jungle, Breakbeat and some others. Freestylers’ ideology is a healthy life style. Thus they usually don’t smoke, don’t do drugs, don’t drink alcohol. They are not aggressive but extreme in Sports – all the time trying something new. The main social problem about them is that they always break their arms, legs, necks.

THE PLASTICS
All around the UK there are teenage girls that identify themselves as “Plastics”. The name comes from the 2004 Paramount Pictures film Mean Girls and applies to girls that care about their appearance – a lot. Before they leave the house, Plastics put on lots of jewellery and make-up. They always wear fashionable clothes and high heels, but never jeans or trainers. Plastics listen to pop music like Britney Spears and Beyoncé and they mostly enjoy spending time with their friends. The most important things for Plastics are friendship, make-up and fashion. And their favourite colour? Pink, of course!

It is not a secret that our meals influence much on our health and our mood. That's why I consider breakfast to be the most important meal in the day as it is the first our meal and it can put us in good spirits. Now I shall tell you about my breakfast.

In the morning I usually have porridge. I often start my breakfast with a cereal which is not cooked, it is something dry, ready to be eaten or muesli – some grain or porridge which is not cooked with dried fruit, nuts and so on.

I also like eggs (cooked in different ways). I don't practically eat butter, I prefer soft margarine – made of vegetable fat, which is not heavy and creamy. I don't eat jam at breakfast, I eat marmalade which is not sweet, there is slight bitterness; it's rather pleasant.

I usually don't have substantial breakfast on weekdays, I do it on weekends when I get up late. Very often I have just tea or coffee with sandwiches. Tea is usually taken by me with milk. I like very strong tea without sugar.

Sometimes when I am in hurry I don't have time to have proper breakfast and I go to the university being hungry. In such case I usually buy something like "Snickers" or "Mars" on my way to the Alma Mater.

За 600 лет существования икону подновляли пять раз, но после реставрации 1919 года был снова открыт авторский слой. Сейчас икона хранится в Третьяковской Галерее в Москве. Казанская икона Божьей Матери Казанская икона Божьей Матери была обретена на пепелище в 1579 году после того, как Богородица трижды явилась во сне девочке Матроне. На сегодняшний день Казанская икона Божьей Матери – одна из самых популярных в России. Считается, что именно ее покровительство ополчению Пожарского изгнать поляков из Москвы. Из трех чудотворных списков до нашего времени сохранился только петербургский, сейчас он хранится в Казанском Соборе в Санкт-Петербурге. Тихвинская икона Божией Матери Принято считать, что Тихвинская икона Божией Матери была обретена в Тихвине в 1383 году. Икону почитают как чудотворную. По преданию, именно ее заступничество в 1613 году Тихвинский Богородице-Успенский монастырь от нашествия шведов. Сейчас икона Тихвинской Божией Матери находится в Тихвинском Успенском монастыре. Смоленская икона Пресвятой Богородицы Смоленская икона Пресвятой Богородицы была привезена в Россию в XI веке. Ей приписывали множество чудес, в том числе Смоленска от нашествия хана Батыя в 1239 году. Существует множество списков Смоленской иконы, но первообраз был утерян во время оккупации Смоленска немецкими войсками в 1941 году. Иверская икона Божией Матери Иверская икона в IX веке хранилась в доме одной благочестивой вдовы, которая ее от уничтожения, опустив ее в море. Два века спустя икона явилась монахам Иверского монастыря на горе Афон. В XVII веке список чудотворной иконы доставили в Россию. Сегодня поклониться образу можно в Новодевичьем монастыре. Донская икона Божией Матери Донская икона Божьей Матери – двусторонняя, на обороте изображено Успение Богоматери. Авторство иконы приписывают Феофану Греку. По легенде, эту чудотворную икону казаки преподнесли в дар Дмитрию Донскому перед Куликовской битвой в 1380 году. На сегодняшний день икона хранится в Третьяковской галерее и покидает ее каждый год 1 сентября (19 августа по старому стилю). В этот день образ перевозят в Донской монастырь для свершения праздничного богослужения.
