1. To vote in an election your name must be on a voters' list.
2. MPs are paid for their work and they have to attend the sittings.
3. Any MP can present a bill for vote by the House of Common.
4. Your vote is secret. You don't have to tell anyone how you voted.

6. On the second reading the bill must go to a committee for detailed examination.
7. The Constitution says that a Senator must be at least 30 years old.
8. The Speaker, like Vice President in the Senate may vote but usually he doesn't.
9. Only a member of the House of Representatives can introduce a bill to raise money.
