Task 1. Read the text and complete the tasks below. Hi, my name is Rosa. I’m in the Canadian city of Montrial with my mum and dad. It’s a fantastic city. My aunt lives here and we’re with her for a month. Montreal is a very interesting place. It’s the biggest bilingual city in the world -a lot of people speak English and French. People speak to mein French in the shops, but when I don’t understand they speak in perfect English! Mum speak Ferench fluently. She uses her French every day, but she doesn’t understand some Canadian French words. Montrial is very friendly and there are people from many different countries. We go to Italian cafes ” Little Italy” part of the city or to Chinese restaurants in the ” Chinatown” area. My favourite place is the Mount Royal Park - it’s got an amazing view of the city.

There are a lot of disadvantages of staying at school you are still treated like a kid, the teachers know your history and you don't get other life experience.I stayed in  because it was an easy choice to do and didn't seem as frightening as going to college. I soon understood that people who had gone to college were doing more interesting things, generally had better choice of subjects and were treated as grown-ups. In the end I left school and entered the college. The sixth-form college provided an excellent atmosphere and good preparation for university. I took it seriously and worked hard
