We live on the planet earth, which is the only planet orbiting the sun with a life on it. the largest part of it is occupied by the waters of the world ocean. if we look on the map of the world we can see that there are six continents, which look like big islands. the largest continent is called eurasia. it covers over 53 million square kilometers and is washed by all four world oceans. the highest mountain, the deepest lake, the largest peninsula are all situated in eurasia. the second largest continent is africa. it covers more than 30 million square kilometers. it is washed by two oceans - atlantic and indian, and two seas - red and mediterranean. the continent has many archipelagos, including madagascar. the nature of africa is amazing. there are endless savannahs, where elephants, lions, tigers, zebras, monkeys and many other animals live in the wild. the next large continents are north and south america. they are interlinked by the continental landmasses and are almost of the same size. two americas together are also known as the new world. the first european settlers appeared here around the 10th century, but it wasn’t until 1492 when columbus officially discovered america. today, more than 900 million people live in the americas. the next in area is antarctica. it covers over 14 million square kilometers. it is the coldest and the windiest continent in the world, which is mostly covered by ice. people don’t normally live there, but there are some regular expeditions that conduct researches across the continent. the smallest continent is australia. together with the pacific ocean islands it forms oceania. in my opinion, the world is amazingly beautiful. it is almost impossible to explore it all. however, some explorers spend years to find out more about the sea world, the tropical forests and other interesting parts of our planet. подробнее - на -

I think it’s hard to create an ideal school uniform. First of all, it’s very cold in winter and really very warm in Russia in spring and the beginning of autumn, and school uniform should be perfect for the whole school year. Then comes the question of the materials – it’s of course cheaper to make uniform from modern synthetic materials, than from natural fabrics and wool, but each mother would choose the last variant. At the same time, school uniform should be affordable to each family. If speaking about the design of the ideal school uniform, it should suit every pupil, boy and girl, regardless if he or she attends elementary school or is almost a school graduate.

But I support the idea of school uniform. I like that school uniform is a part of school tradition, and makes you honor your school more. Also I support the idea that pupils should think more about studying, and not about what are they dressed in. Introduction of school uniform can help to ease the gap between the rich and the poor and make pupils treat each other as personalities.
