1)b) Introduction
We all want to reduce our impact on the environment. What can we do to make a difference? Here
arc some ideas which everyone can try:
(2)c) Reusing rubbish
We throw away a lot of items which we can use again. Did you know that recycling one tin can
save enough energy to power a television for three hours?
a) Reducing food waste
• We throw away a third of everything we buy at the supermarket. But at least half of the items
which we throw away are still fresh and tasty
d) Fewer plastic bags and containers
• Buy things which don't have much packaging. Govemments are trying to make supermarkets
reduce their use of packaging, but progress is slow.
e) Cleaning up your area
• Rubbish in the streets looks horrible, but it is also an environmental problem. Rubbish can pollute
the water we drink and the ground we grow plants in
(6)g) Environmentally-friendly travel
• Cars, motorcycles and planes all cause a lot of pollution. Try to walk or cycle. If your journey is
longer, use public transport, such as buses or trains.
If we all act now, we can make a difference!
ответ:I live in a big city. Living in a city has both advantages and disadvantages. To my mind, life in the large city is more beautiful than in the country or in the town.
First of all there are no any conveniences in country houses.
The second reason is that in a large city we have many ways of getting an education such as a great number of different schools, colleges, institutes and universities. And at last there are many places where we can have fun, for example, cinemas and theatres, clubs, parks, squares.
Of course, there are some disadvantages in living in the city, such as environmental problems and familiar people.
I prefer living in a large city because I like people and noise, fun and entertainment.
