TEXT 6. Past Simple / Past Perfect The holiday was a complete disaster! On the way to the airport, we _1. (miss) our train, so when we _2. (get) there, the plane _3. (leave)! We _4. (pick up) the wrong suitcase at the airport! So, I had to use my credit card and buy some clothes. The rest of the holiday was quite nice, but the journey back was horrible. We missed our flight again because when we _12. (get) to the airport, Sophie _13. (not /can) find her passport! She _14. (leave) it at the hotel. So, we had to go back to the hotel, find the passport, and get another flight. If all of that wasn’t enough, when we eventually _15. (get) home, I _16. (realise) I _17. (lose) my key. I need another holiday to get over that one!
