Fashion is so changeable and unpredictable that we cant imagine what people will wear in hundred years or in 20 years time. In the beginning of 20th century women couldn’t even think of wearing pants but already in 1920s emancipated and free Coco Chanel made pants extremely popular among women.
When it comes to fashion one thing is clear it will always follow the technology. Nowadays 3-D printers have already conquered the market and soon when we can use them to produce quality clothes and shoes without manual labor involved it will be highly-demanded.
3-D printers will scan your body and feet to get the exact size. Customers will be able to choose the style, design and color sitting in front of their computers and a couple of hours later ready clothes will be delivered to their house.
The use of sensors, electronics and LCD screens will be highly popular in fashion industry. For example sports outfits that will be able to control physiological parameters of the owner or shoes with navigation system installed in them. These are the things that we definitely are going to use in the future.
I think that outwear will be changed in the next 10 years already. It will become long-wearing and lighter and probably wind, dirt and cold resistant.
New perfumes, new technology, new music even books about cyborgs wont be science fiction anymore. It’s hard to predict fashion trends of the new generation but when you think about it that makes your life more interesting already.
