My name is Marina Demchenko. I am 15 years old. I was born in Kharkov and I have been living here all my life. My mum, dad, grandpa, (my uncle) and I live in a high building in one of sleeping areas of the city. We’ve got a cat, called Alaska. It is only some months old.
For several years I have been fond of drawing and I like it very much. I love to read novels; it's my favourite genre in literature. I like to watch funny comedies as well as melodramas, but unfortunately, due to lack of time, I can’t (=don’t) do it often. As for my appearance,
I am thin and short. I have straight brown medium length hair and bright brown eyes. I don’t keep to some particular dress style, but I wear just what I like every other time. As for my traits of character, I think I am very sensitive; I take everything close to my heart. I can be very emotional but sometimes even whimsical.
I'm pretty responsible and always try to do all the things up to the end. I can say about myself that I’m an ambitious and hard-working person. I am not very sociable, but I’m not quiet either. I have a few friends with whom I communicate well. Together we all are learning at the same school. I hope that we will continue to be good friends after finishing school. Now I'm in the 10th grade. (= in grade 10). Our school is not very small, there are about 600 students in it. At the moment, I do not have any favourite subjects.(or teachers). I try to study well, participate in different competitions and tournaments. To conclude, I have not decided what I am going to become in the future, so far, but I think it’ll be something connected with design or advertising.
