Иосиф Тимченко
Вклад украинских ученых в развитие мировой науки поистине огромный. Представитель направления механики Иосиф Тимченко подарил человечеству ртутный барометр, электронные часы, устройство для проверки манометров. Родился конструктор в Харькове, после чего переехал в Одессу, где и прожил свою интересную жизнь. В памяти благодарных потомков Иосиф Андреевич навсегда останется олицетворением того, что именно украинские ученые создали прообраз кинескопа. К сожалению, прибор не был запатентован. И другой человек вошел в историю как его создатель. Кстати, найденный Иосифом Андреевичем скачковый механизм стал основой еще и для стробоскопа.

The designer was born in Kharkov, after which he moved to Odessa, where he lived his interesting life. In the memory of grateful descendants, Joseph Andreevich will forever remain the embodiment of the fact that it was Ukrainian scientists who created the prototype of the kinescope. Unfortunately, the device was not patented. And the other person went down in history as its creator. By the way, the jump mechanism found by Joseph Andreevich became the basis for the strobe too.
