will — действия в будущем, которые мы не можем изменить, констатация фактов;

will — предсказание или предположение, основанное на собственном опыте или интуиции;

will — спонтанное решение, принятое в данный момент;

be going to — запланированное действие в ближайшем будущем: намерение, план.

4. You mustn’t put that shirt in the washing machine. – I know. It has to be dry-cleaned.

5. Was the suitcase very heavy? – Yes, but I ought to carry it by myself.

6. Can you drive? – Yes, but I haven’t got my own car.

7. I could/ ride a bicycle until I was eight. – Neither could I.

8. Would you open the door for me, please? – Yes, certainly.

9. I saw Tina in town last night. – You can’t have seen her. She’s on holiday in Spain.

10. Where’s Colin? – I’m not sure. He might be in the study.

11. I feel very tired today. - You shouldn’t have stayed up so late last night.

12. Did you phone Alan yesterday? – No. I didn’t need to. He came round to see me.
