New York is always changing. You can hear it all the time. Cars and buses stop and start and policemen blow whistles at the drivers, people run between the streets and avenues. That's New York. That's one of the most wonderful cities in the world.

Is New York dangerous? Perhaps it is, but many big cities are dangerous. Remember:

don't have a lot of money with you;
don't travel on the metro alone at night;
stay with people late at night;
go into the nearest hotel or shop if you suddenly feel afraid.

When you are going to visit New York, remember that the city can be very hot in summer and very cold in the middle of winter. Go at the right time and take the right things with you.

Some visitors find that New York and New Yorkers are not very friendly. Well, some are, some are not. Some taxi drivers talk during the trip, some talk if you talk to them, but only to say "Yeah" or "OK!"​

People first tamed animals a very long time ago. It was a necessity - they needed to have meat, milk, fur at hand. It was easier to have animals near than to go hunting in dangerous conditions. Then people tamed the next group of animals - to protect the useful animals from the wild. And suddenly humans realized that it was fun to have a home animal. Thus first pets took their place in the homes of our ancestors. Nowadays people can choose a wide range of different pets - cats, dogs, mice, hamsters, snakes, lizards, birds. The most popular are cats and dogs. But I think it is easier to have a caged pet. For example, chinchillas. Because modern people spend most of the time at work, in my opinion it is cruel towards dogs or cats who might feel lonely. But if I speak of myself I would choose a dog, because it is a loyal and kind creation and I like long walks where my dog would be a companion.

3. You ever was to South America? – Yes, I‟ve been there several times. – Whenyou last went there? – A couple of months ago. I sometimes go there on business.
 4. Elmer took hundreds of pictures when he was in Europe.
5. Helen was here earlier but I think now she already left. She usually leaves theoffice at 5 o'clock.
6.  Patrick left the party early because he was sick.
7. –You ever ride a camel? – Yes, I rode a camel when I was in Egypt last year.
8. Erick had a lot of free time since he moved to Thailand.
9. Bob visited the White House when he was in Washington.
10. I was to the supermarket. Look, Ive bought a lot of things.

2. I live  in my hometown all my life.
3. We saw many interesting sights in the last few days.
4. Kate no found a new job yet.
5.  Molly has eaten three pieces of cake today.
