English is an international language and tought in almost every school all over the world. We learn English to communicate with foreigners, read foreign newspapers and magazines. No businessman can imagine his work without necessity to translate something connected with his documents. We are made to learn foreign language to get a prestigious job in the future, to be able to work in international companies, where salary might be higher. Another reason to learn languages is that it develops brains and helps understand even words of your native language. Learning new things as learning languages helps with the development of your imagination.
As for me, i think that any extra language you learn will help you and there is no need not to pay attention to it.
