Апостроф ( ' ) нужен для образования притяжательного падежа имён существительных, чтобы показать кому что-то принадлежит. Ann's doll - кукла Ани (Анина кукла) Dan and Nick's ball - мяч Дани и Ника Boy's toy - игрушка мальчика В единственном числе сначала ставим апостроф ( ' ), затем + s. Но если слово во множественном числе уже имеет окончание - s, то здесь только добавляем апостроф (') на конце за буквой s: Boys' ball - мяч мальчиков. Boys' balls - мячи мальчиков. Students' books - книги студентов (учеников).
