The Russian writer Anton Chekhov, who was born in 1860 and died in 1904, has made an enormous contribution to modern literature. His success was a remarkable achievement, and came despite the fact that Chekhov's family lived in severe poverty for much of his childhood. 
Chekhov's works have had a great influence on 20th century literature in many ways, particularly in terms of emotional expression, plot and narrative structure, and character developments. Even today, more than a hundred years after his death, Chekhov's stories are extremely popular all over the world and major new productions of his plays are frequently mounted, to great success.

My favourite day is Saturday, because when you come home from school you needn't think of your homework for the next day. You have the rest part of the day at your disposal. You can do what you like.I usually have lunch and listen to music, watch interesting clips on TV or a film. Meanwhile I tidy my room and then relax. After some time I go to hang out with my friends. Sometimes we go to the park to the attractions, or eat pizza and ice-cream int he bar in the shopping mall. Sometimes we see there a new film in the cinema-hall and go for a walk outdoors. In the evening our family meets at dinner table and we discuss our day and other news. After dinner I wash up and play computer games and communicate with friends on the computer.
Then I have a bath and go to bed to wake up late on Sunday.

Мой любимый день суббота, потому что, когда приходишь домой из школы, тебе не надо думать о домашнем задании на следующий день. У тебя есть остальная часть дня в полном твоём распоряжении. Можно делать то, что нравится. Я обычно обедаю и слушаю музыку, или смотрю интересные ролики по ТВ или фильм. Тем временем, я убираю свою комнату и отдыхаю. Через некоторое время я иду гулять с друзьями. Иногда мы ходим в парк на аттракционы, или съесть пиццу и мороженое в баре в торговом центре. Иногда мы смотрим там новый фильм в кинотеатре или идём на прогулку на свежем воздухе. Вечером наша семья собирается за обеденным столом и мы обсуждаем наш день и другие новости. После ужина я мою посуду и играю в компьютерные игры и общаюсь с друзьями по компьютеру.Потом я принимаю ванну и ложусь спать, чтобы проснуться поздно в воскресенье.
