Art and painting
Art plays a great role in our life. It forms our attitude and perception of the world, gives us more complete picture of the diverse world, lets us learn something new previously unknown. It can help person to open himself, to have a new look at this world.
Art is expressed in various works. This can be music and pictures, installations and art objects, etc. Of all the arts, I prefer cinema, music and painting.
In this essay I would like to talk more precisely about painting. My favourite trend in art is surrealism. I was always very excited by paintings of this genre. Many people do not like surrealism, but I believe that this is connected with the fact that the surrealistic painting is needed to think. Everyone can see something of his own. Hidden idea, enigma is always in these pictures. In my opinion this is very interesting. Such hobby as painting develops creative skills and creative mind. My favourite artist is Salvador Dali and a favourite picture is "The Persistence of Time". In my opinion his pictures reflect the essence of surrealism best of all.
However I would add that all kinds of painting are important, necessary and interesting. For example I also like pictures by Aivazovsky, Repin, especially "Sadko in the Underwater Kingdom ", Rembrandt, Van Gogh.
Art develops person’s inner world, allows us to open ourselves up to new and gives us a place for creativity and imagination. I believe that art and culture are an essential part of our existence. In my opinion it would be difficult to imagine the further development of mankind without art because it teaches us beautiful, new, exciting, unusual things.
