Dr. Watson after demobilization returned home from Afghanistan - to England. His longtime friend of Mr. Stamford invited him to stay in the house at Baker Street , 221 -b, which handed over some old lady - Mrs. Hudson. Second rented a room already occupied by another gentleman - Mr. Sherlock Holmes . ( The financial position of the doctor was pretty weak )

The first impression of familiarity with Holmes was ambiguous . He spent sophisticated chemical experiments with blood, played the violin , had a profound knowledge of cigar ash and mud London criminal law , but it showed a complete ignorance of truisms (eg , the fact that the Earth is spherical and revolves around the Sun) , did not read fiction , as well , and books on history and philosophy. In this ever came to Holmes very strange visitors , and on the table he stood in the portraits of personalities ghoulish appearance. So Watson, Holmes began to seriously suspect of involvement in the criminal world .

But after a showdown during a boxing match , which took place at the request of the doctor straight in the house, all the fears and doubts were dispelled Watson : Sherlock Holmes was a private investigator .

I for one have a lot of friends. They are people who I can have great fun with. When I am in trouble they're always there to cheer me up. Let's take Jack, for example. He's the one who I can turn to when I have problems at home. I can talk all my problems through with him. He's supportive and can keep secrets. It's important, isn't it? And Jane? She's so brainy! I always turn to her when I have problems with maths.
Jessica is great at working on the computer. She teaches me how to work, too. She's so kind and considerate. We have a lot of similar interests with Mike. And besides Mike is the only one I can play football with! Each time we all get together we have a good laugh. Sometimes we have arguments but we make up (миримся) quickly. We are never bored.
