My ideal roommate should be clever and cheerful. It is desirable that he would like the same styles of music that I like, so we would often listen to music we both like in our room together. I am very bad at cooking and I'd like he/she could cook well. He must always put all his/her things in their places because I like when the room is tidy. I would like him/her not to be mean and rude and not to have bad habits like smoking, for example! I would like him to be sporty in order we both could do the same sport.

Sir Raleigh (brought) the potato to his country because he (wanted) the people (to learn) how (to grow) potatoes. He (said): "When the harvest (is) poor, there (will be) no breed and we (shall all be) hungry. You (will) never be hungry if you (grow) potatoes. But people (did not like) potatoes. Nobody (wanted) (to eat) them because nobody (knew) how (to cook) them."After many years a Frenchman (found) the best way of growing and cooking the potato. People (began) (eating) potatoes and (found) them good. Since that time more and more potatoes (have been grown) and (eaten) in Europe. The potatoes (have become) one of the most important and useful vegetable.
