In 1337 in the mislaid forest the monastery appeared in the form of a town. It was founded by Sergius Radonezhskiy with his brother – Stephen. Sergius was a kind and devout man and people loved him and had built their house near him. Сenturies later еhe town grew up so much, than Empress Catherine the Great ordered to name the settlement is a real city. So Sergiev Posad appeared. Because the city was founded by a man, which was holy, that its special attractions – holy places, fabulous and gracefull.
