How I fell ill
On a cold rainy day I was walking home from school when it started to rain. I got wet and felt awfully cold. When I came home, I felt ill. Soon my temperature began to rise and I had a sore throat. In the evening my mum told me to have dinner, but I couldn't eat. Mum gave me a pill and I fell asleep. In the morning my mother called the doctor. When the doctor arrived, she examined me, took my temperature — it was 39 degrees. The doctor prescribed medicine and told me to stay in bed, drink warm liquids and eat light food. A week later I felt well, so I went to the doctor and she said I was OK.
