The symbol of Canada is the sugar maple, which grows in the Great lakes region and in Eastern America. The first written mentioning of maple leaf as a symbol dates back to 1760. In the late 1830s, the Baptist society of St. John in Quebec adopted a maple leaf as a symbol of this society. It was carried by the Canadians as a national symbol on the meeting with Prince of Wales, when he in 1860, first visited Canada. Officially maple leaf became a national symbol of Canada in 1965, since then it is depicted on the flag of the country.

1)Волки-дикие животные. Они очень похожи на больших собак. Обычно волки серые,с длинными хвостами. Волки-хищники и очень умные охотники.Они могут жить практически в любой среде. Их можно встретить в тундре,степи и тайге. Волки обладают большой физической силой,выносливостью и гибкостью. Так как волки убивают в первую очередь слабых и больных животных,они считаются санитарами леса. Но из-за опасности,которую они представляют для людей,многие виды волков были полностью истреблены,и многие считаются вымирающими.

Wolves are wild animals. They look very much like big dogs. Usually wolves are grey with long tails. Wolves are predators and very smart hunters. They live almost anywhere. They can be found in tundra,steppe and taiga. Wolves have great physical strength,endurance and agivity. As wolves kill weak and sick animals first they are considered to be forest medics. But because of the danger they pose to people,many species of wolves have been completely wiped out,and many are considered endangered.
2)Лиса
Жила-была рыжая лиса. Хвостик у нее был самым пушистым в лесу. Когда она бежала по снегу, хвостиком заметала все свои следы. Шубка у лисы была красивого рыжего цвета. Глазки были черные, хитрые. Не зря в лесу говорили, что лиса - самая хитрая плутовка, потому что любила обманывать других зверей. Но больше всех в лесу лисы боялся заяц. Но зимой он был белого цвета, это ему прятаться от рыжей плутовки.
 Fox
