5. How many people come to Harrods on busy days? Harrods is a department store in London, England. It is the biggest department store in Britain. It started in 1834 when Charles Harrod opened a small shop selling fruit, vegetables, and tea. In a short time, people from all over London started coming to the shop. In 1883, Charles’s son bought a larger building for the shop and began selling more products. Harrods grew bigger and bigger, and in 1985 the store was sold for £615 million to an Egyptian businessman. Then, in May 2010, Qatar Holding bought it for £1.5 billion.
Today, Harrods has got 330 departments that sell many products including clothes, sports equipment, jewelry, food, and drink. There are also 28 restaurants and a bank in the Harrods building. More than 300,000 people shop at Harrods on busy days, and around 5,000 people from 50 different countries work in the building. You can see many beautiful works of art in the store. In the past, you could even see wild animals in Harrods, including a snake and a lion!

School does prepare you for the future. School prepares you for the future because it teaches you how to become an everyday worker. Think of it this way, your boss doesn't want you slacking and not doing your work in a everyday environment. Well thats what school is an everyday environment where you complete assignments and whether you do them is up to you or not. However in a common work place if you don't do your work you end up fired, or in an almost same way you fail the class. Which if you think about it is almost like failing your job.
