Birthdays have got long history.
In Russia, people celebrate the occasion with a pie instead of a cake. In Israel, the child sits in a chair while grown-ups raise the chair and lower it a number of times depending on the child's age, plus one for good luck. In Scotland, a birthday child usually gets a note of pound and soft smacking. In Vietnam, they do not recognize their individual birthdays, but used to celebrate at the beginning of the New Year.  In Argentina, on the occasion of fifteenth birthday, they have a huge party which involves the birthday girls to dance the waltz with their father and other boys.

View old Soviet cartoon "Anansi the Spider". He is so good there, and the hero, and all saves. And after that - to see an American film "genetically distinct". Lot of them there, they are evil and transparent. After millions of spider - stop being afraid. 
And after that - again, see "Anansi the Spider". 
And so, until you get bored. Then, seeing the spider, you just wave away from him with the words: "Ah-ah-ah-ah, would show something new ..."

А после этого - посмотреть американский фильм "Генетическая особь". Их там много, они злые и прозрачные. После миллионного паука - перестаешь бояться.

А после этого - опять посмотреть "Паучок Ананси".

И так, пока не надоест. После этого, увидев паука, ты лишь отмахнешься от него со словами: "А-а-а-а, показали бы что-нибудь новое... "
