READING Task 1. Read the dialogue about transportation,
Bobs Hello, I'm sorry, but I am late. Can you help me?
Mark: Sure, no problem! How may I help you?
Bob: When is the next train to Ansonia?
Mark I am not sure, but I think the next one leaves tomorrow at 8 pm.
Bob: What?! I can't wait that long! What time is the next bus?
Mark It should go by in about two hours. It leaves the bus station at about 5.30 pm.
Bob: Well, I don't know. Isn't there any other option?
Mark You could take a taxi...
Bob: What's faster, the bus or the taxi?
Mark The taxi, of course! All you have to do is to call and ask for a taxi and it will come right away.
Bob. You are right, but which is the cheapest one?
Mark: The cheapest means of transportation is the subway,
Bob. When have you ever seen a subway here in Connecticut?
Mark You're right. But anyway why don't you just go walking? It's only like twenty five minutes
away from here
Bob: You're absolutely right. Thanks for your help.​

 Usually we see films either in the cinema or on the TV. But from time to time I go to the cinema. My favourite film is "War and Peace". The script of the film was written by Sergey Bondar-chuk and W. Solowjew. The Leningrad (now Sankt Petersburg) ballet-dancer Ludmila Saweljiewa played the main part. She played this role wonderfully.
   The other parts were played by A. Ktorov (old Bolkonsky), 0. Tabakov (Nikolai), I. Skobzeva (Helena). Borodino struggle, hunting, the first ball of Natasha made a great impression on me.
   My favourite film is "The Fate of a Man". This film is excellent. It is difficult to find other words to describe it. It has enormous vigour and delicacy, it is full of purity and hope.
   "...A man is caught in the storm of war and loses everything. Black clouds surround him, and -yet he finds strength to bear up with it all; he finds strength to adopt a child, a destitute, helpless creature..."
   All the great events and the feelings aroused are depicted with taste, tact and restraint. Тo wish to draw attention particularly to the extraordinary performance of the boy.
   Even if the film has no other merits, the child scenes, so subtle, profound and lifelike, so full of tragic vigour — these scenes alone would win Bondarchuk the reputation of a great director.

Many people have a person on whom they want to be like . I have it too. This character from the anime "Naruto" . His name is Naruto. I want to be like him because he has a dream , and he tends to it , overcoming various obstacles . Ability to make friends , boundless perseverance , to be ready to answer for their actions , diligence , kindness , compassion , ability to defend their opinion , willpower , honesty and understanding of the value of friendship. These qualities seem to me one of the most important in a person. I want to be like him, because he - the personification of the qualities that I appreciate in a man. The desire to dream at all costs - it shows a strong character . I try to be like him .
