Hello and welcome to my blog! I'm Zarina and I'm a flight attendant. I'm from Kazakhstan, but I fly all over the world. I love travelling!
Dress to Impress.
Today's post is all about uniforms. You've probably noticed, at the airport, that all the flight attendants look very glamorous. It's part of the job, but it's not easy – especially after an eleven-hour flight! We have to make sure our hair is neat and tidy and, for women, that our make-up is fresh and bright. But the biggest part of our appearance is our uniform.

Every airline has got a different uniform. Usually, male flight attendants wear a suit and tie and females like me wear a skirt and shirt. However, sometimes we wear a dress or shirt and trousers. We often have hats and scarves, too. It may surprise you, but a lot of flight attendant uniforms are designed by famous fashion designers, which is why they look so stylish!

My uniform is nothing special – just a white shirt, blue skirt and jacket and a pink scarf. I love it! The material is soft and strong, and I never have to think about what to wear to work. Some airlines have uniforms that are based on the culture of their country. For example, the flight attendants at Thai Airways wear traditional Thai costumes. They look like long silk dresses, and all the women have a purple flower on their shoulder. They look beautiful!

Our uniforms are fashionable and comfortable but most of all they show everyone we see which airline we work for. That's why we always have to look our best – we're like walking adverts!
