Timur was born into the family of a Mongol nobleman. He grew up to be a brave and strong warrior. At the age of 26, as a result of injury, he became a cripple: his right leg did not bend at the knee, and his arm did not bend at the elbow. Since then, Timur was called "Iron Lame" - Tamerlane. Tamerlane had to rely not on his own strength, but on wisdom and endurance. In 1370 he became the ruler of Central Asia.
